What to Expect
The Process
Applying to Make a Reservation
To make a reservation, please fill out our application form in the ‘Apply’ page. After the application form has been submitted, a representative from our MedPac Travel Client Services team will contact you for the next steps.
Or, if you would like more information before you make the decision to apply, please submit an online inquiry in the ‘Contact’ page or reach out to us by email or phone and we will answer any questions without any pressure.
Confirming the Reservation
MedPac Travel will work with its partner clinics to give you the best possible availability that fits your travel schedule. When you have decided on a date that works for you, we will confirm that date with your clinic of choice.
Submitting Intake Documents
When the Clinic has confirmed the date of your screening, we will follow up with you to collect documents required by the Clinic for intake purposes. These documents include a brief questionnaire, a photocopy of your passport, and logistical information regarding your hotel or place of lodging.
At this time, we can also respond to additional requests you would like to make regarding the screening.
Pre-Screening Instructions
We will coordinate with the clinic to have a packet containing pre-screening instructions delivered to your hotel to be presented to you upon check-in. The instructions will advise you on how to prepare for the health check-up, which may include fasting and filling out a detailed health questionnaire.
Day of the Examination
On the day of the check-up, patients meet with a physician to discuss their medical history, lifestyle, and any concerns they may have.
The Ningen Dock typically takes about 4-6 hours for a standard screening; 6+ hours for an executive screening. It includes a wide range of diagnostic tests, such as:
Blood tests
Urinalysis
Imaging tests (e.g., X-rays, ultrasounds, MRI, or CT scans)
Endoscopy (for digestive tract examination)
Cardiovascular assessments (e.g., ECG, blood pressure monitoring)
Cancer screenings (e.g., mammograms, colonoscopies)
Eye exams and hearing tests
Bone density tests
At the conclusion of the screening, the physician will meet with the patient to review the preliminary results.
Reporting of Results
The complete results are typically available within two to three weeks from the date of the screening and will arrive translated into English. Depending on the Clinic, the patient will either receive a physical binder report and a CD-ROM containing the images, or a secure link to access their report and image files.
Follow-up Consultation
After the patient receives their results, it’s recommended to have a follow-up consultation with your primary care physician who can explain the results, offer advice on health management, and suggest any necessary treatment or further tests.
